Run Dune: Awakening on your own infrastructure

Dune Docker Console packages the community self-hosting stack into a repeatable Docker environment. A guided browser setup helps server owners deploy the required services, while the admin console keeps everyday operations in one place.

The project is designed for Linux servers, dedicated hardware, virtual machines, and Windows systems using Docker Desktop with WSL2. It remains free to use, modify, and share under the MIT License.

Guided Installation Start from a fresh server and finish configuration in the browser.
Server Operations Monitor readiness, services, logs, maps, memory, backups, and updates.
Admin Tools Manage players, inventories, progression, vehicles, announcements, and databases.
Community Ecosystem Install reviewed addons and share tools without replacing the core console.

About Dune: Awakening Docker

Is Dune Docker Console free?

Yes. The project is free and open source under the MIT License. There is no paid edition or subscription.

What does the project manage?

It manages the Docker services and common server-owner workflows used by a Dune: Awakening self-hosted server, including setup, health, players, maps, backups, updates, and administrative tools.

Who maintains it?

Dune Docker Console is led and primarily developed by RedBlink, with valuable contributions from community developers on GitHub and wider community support through testing, feedback, fixes, documentation, and addons.

How does a server appear in this directory?

Public-mode Dune Docker Console users can enable server listing from Settings. The console then sends a minimal public heartbeat without exposing internal battlegroup information.

Why does this project use Docker?

Docker is faster, more efficient, and more memory-friendly than running a full virtual machine for every service. Containers avoid a full separate operating system for each component, which means less overhead, easier updates, better resource usage, and a smoother self-hosting experience.

Can I run Dune Docker Console on Windows?

Yes. You can use Docker Desktop with WSL2 or run an always-on Linux virtual machine. VMware Workstation Pro is a practical Windows option, while a dedicated always-on Linux host is recommended for the most direct, efficient, and reliable use of the project.
